France PhotoBook’s members share a distinctive vision of photobook publishing, one that is discerning, independent and deeply committed to the medium. Based throughout France, they contribute to a rich publishing ecosystem that remains vulnerable, yet is vital to contemporary photographic creation.
Through their distinctive catalogues, France PhotoBook’s member publishers work with photographers to develop projects in which the photobook is integral to the artistic vision, bringing together narrative, graphic design, craftsmanship and critical reflection. Each publication emerges from an extended collaborative process, shaped by close attention to images, form and storytelling.
These publishers share a fundamental belief: the photobook is far more than a vehicle for reproducing images. It is a creative medium in its own right, capable of giving lasting structure to artists’ work and bringing it to wider audiences. Together, they play an active role in raising the profile of photobook publishing in France and internationally.
