comme un langage autonome afin d\\u2019affirmer la pr\\u00e9dominance de l\\u2019auteur par la mise en pages, l\\u2019impression et l\\u2019apport de textes autobiographiques.<\/p><p>Dans un environnement \\u00e9ditorial et institutionnel particuli\\u00e8rement d\\u00e9sertique, Contrejour mit en place une politique efficace pour assurer la promotion des photographes \\u00e0 travers des expositions et des manifestations afin d\\u2019assurer le succ\\u00e8s commercial de ses livres qui touch\\u00e8rent un public toujours plus nombreux de passionn\\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Outre une s\\u00e9rie de livres de poche propos\\u00e9s \\u00e0 un prix accessible lanc\\u00e9e d\\u00e8s 1975, Contrejour publia les premi\\u00e8res monographies de Jeanloup Sieff, Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Sabine Weiss, Sebasti\\u00e3o Salgado, Pierre et Gilles, Claude Dityvon, Bernard Plossu, ou encore Gilles Peress.<\/p><p>Suivirent des essais historiques et critiques avec des ouvrages sur La photographie humaniste 1930-1960 \\u2013histoire d\\u2019un mouvement en France\\u2013 par Marie de Th\\u00e9zy, La photographie cr\\u00e9ative de Jean Claude Lemagny, une Histoire de la photographie Fran\\u00e7aise de Claude Nori ainsi que Photo Actuelle en France qui r\\u00e9unit en 1976, 1978 et 1980 les photographes \\u00e9mergents de la d\\u00e9cennie.<\/p><p>Avec plus de 170 livres publi\\u00e9s et les revues Les Cahiers de la Photographie et Camera International, Contrejour joua le r\\u00f4le de v\\u00e9ritable forum aupr\\u00e8s des jeunes auteurs et contribua pleinement \\u00e0 l\\u2019\\u00e9closion de la photographie fran\\u00e7aise telle que nous la connaissons aujourd\\u2019hui.<\/p><p>En 2011, les nouvelles \\u00e9ditions Contrejour reparaissaient dans un paysage \\u00e9ditorial totalement diff\\u00e9rent, concurrentiel, international o\\u00f9 l\\u2019image est largement institutionnalis\\u00e9e et m\\u00e9diatis\\u00e9e \\u00e0 travers le march\\u00e9 de l\\u2019art, les expositions et les festivals.<br \/>Dirig\\u00e9es depuis Biarritz par Isabelle et Claude Nori, elles s\\u2019attachent \\u00e0 offrir un environnement privil\\u00e9gi\\u00e9 et un
